Gamingtec team found its own reason.
Strike because we all know how beautiful the world is and we want our children to see it even more blooming. We know that we cannot save the planet but we can do our best to minimize the damage.
We have created a list of simple steps that can help you reduce the amount of waste generated in offices. The Gamingtec team has already implemented most of the points to the daily routine and we would be happy if this checklist be in handy for other offices as well.
- Replace incandescent lightbulbs with energy-efficient ones. It is much cheaper and reduces energy waste.
- Turn off all computers at the end of a working day.
- Install a dishwasher and don`t pre-rinse the dishes to save water.
- Recycle glass and aluminum.
- Don`t waste napkin and replace paper towels in toilets with air dryers.
- Use paper efficiently: save digital copies of documents, print on both sides of the paper when it is possible,don’t buy new notepads unless you used the previous one.
- Use water coolers and multi-use bottles, not paper/plastic cups.
- Buy local fruit. This saves nature from the pollution incurred by transporting food for long distances.
- Adjust the temperature. Use heating and cooling only when people are in the office.
- Turn off the lights in the kitchen and bathroom when no one is there.
- Let some employees work remotely from home. This way, they save gasoline to get to the office.
- Do not use plastic carrier bags because they are not recyclable.
- Share this checklist with all the employees you know.
